Regina is fondly called "the Queen City" because in Latin, regina means queen. Saskatoon is one of the sunniest cities in Canada. It is built with the South Saskatchewan River runs through the cityscape from north to south, so that riverbank parks and natural areas are easily accessible by all. Seven bridges cross the river within the city area. Saskatoon has low costs for housing and utility, its affordable residential areas are of high quality, particularly close to the university area.
